Welcome Message

Thank you for stopping by!  I am not too good at self introductions, but this is me in a nutshell…..My name is Ashley Hudson and I am a Christian, and the wife of an amazing, God-fearing preacher man, Jake and we have three kiddos.  Whew, that was it!  Now, to let you know why I am sharing my ramblings on the world wide web (do we even use that term anymore?)……

I  titled my blog “Growing Pains” because I believe that as a Christian, each and every day is a chance to grow in Christ and that growth can often be “blissfully painful”.   I think, hurt, fall, arise, and grow, therefore I write.  I want to remember these moments and connect them with people who are going through the same things, because hey,  we are to bear with one another and encourage one another.  I hope that this blog will give you a few laughs, tears, and growing moments of your own.  The Lord goes with you daily!

In Him,

Hey Ash! I love your blogs I had no idea you were such a talented writer! I love your technique it’s never boring and always has a hidden lesson within the laughter or story being told! and you do an amazing job relating scripture to everyday life…Ok enough of my English teacher analyzing lol! But seriously I feel like you could seriously compile these into a devotional type book! I would read it! Just wanted to say I really enjoy them and am always
blessed and reminded of a biblical principle with each read! Thanks!

Thanks Steph, I appreciate the encouragement. I am actually working on a devotional book 🙂 It will take me a while to compile because they are life application devotionals through raising the kiddos. Lord willing, someday it will be published.

I found your blog through the Come Fill Your Cup blog after reading your article on spanking (which I greatly appreciate, by the way). My husband is also a campus minister, and I’m also really into photography (and have though about running a small side business although I do not at this time). Anyway, I look forward to reading your blog. It is always encouraging to find other Christian bloggers out there!

Hey! Small world, it is neat to meet other Minister’s wives, and especially Campus Ministers wives. We have been here since July of 2009, I love it. It is such a unique ministry and I am so glad to be a part of it.
It is also neat that you are into photography, I have been messing around with small jobs since 2008, but now, I am actually getting established, making money, paying taxes 🙂 I enjoy it a lot and love that I can set my own hours. If you ever make that step, it is a big one, but so rewarding, and you can take it with you wherever your ministry may lead you as well. Thanks for the post, it is encouraging for me to know that others can relate to my life and inspire me, and maybe be inspired as well. God bless!
